Technical Service Manager EOD (EMEA)
BorsodChem Zrt. a leading European manufacturer of MDI and TDI products and PVC powders, part of the Chinese Wanhua Group is looking for a new colleagues to fill in the position of Technical Service Manager EOD (EMEA).
Responsibilities of our future colleague
Technical Service
- Answer customer's requests on technical questions, recommend products and provide solutions on their technical problems
- Solve customer's complaints on product quality, work with production team to find root causes and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Introduce product portfolio to potential customers and provide general guidance for using products.
- Assist to the project of building Technical Service Center in EMEA region
Sales Support
- Travel with sales managers and distributors to introduce products to potential customers.
- Help build company reputation in targeted industry through coating shows and technology symposiums.
- Provide technical trainings to sales team and distributors
Technical Project Management
- Take the lead for new technical development with our customers
- Understand their technical need and make clear specification to our development center in China
- Follow up with our labs and report to our customers
- Manage the change
- Support the entry into service of new products
Information Collection
- Collect information and provide feedback including new technology development, regulation updates and competitive information in EMEA market
- Work with global technical service and R&D teams to identify unmet market & customer needs and provide feedback to headquarter.
- Communicate to production team on special customer needs and update production plan.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or above in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science of other chemistry related field.
- 5+ years of technical support experience in surfactants or related fields, with a strong background in customer service.
- In-depth understanding of chemical properties, applications, and market trends of surfactants, with solid knowledge of chemistry and chemical engineering.
- Excellent communications(technical English is a must+ another European language) and presentation skills, capable of effectively interacting with customers and internal teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving abiliites, with the capacity to respond quickly to customer service needs and provide effective solutions.
- Strong team player, able to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Proficient in written and spoken English, with the ability to read and write technical documents. Experiance in international customer communication is a plus.
Preferred knowledge and abilities:
- Experience in surfactant product development is a plus. Familiarity with surfactant applications in detergentsm textile, I&I cleaning, metal working, coating, oilfield chemicals and other industries is prefferd.
- Project management experience is a plus. General understanding of EOD/surfactant market segment, competitive landscape, customer distribution and requirements.
- Customer-oriented and able to proactively communicate to customer and solver product quality issues
- High level communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to work well in a cross-cultural and cross-language team environment
